When will Legacy Acres be open for business?
We are currently in the process of renovations, but are welcoming guests onto the grounds and in the main floor of the barn. Three of the rest rooms are ready for use. We anticipate finishing the hayloft and Grainery prep area no later than April 20, 2018. We invite you to keep track of our progress on Facebook.
When can we use the space?
We plan to have the barn heated, but just enough to take the chill off. As such, we plan to book events from May 1-October 31 each year. If your guests are the hardy-sort, we welcome you to come any time that you desire with the understanding that we cannot regulate the barn as one would regulate a house.
How far out are you booking?
We are currently booking through October 31, 2020. Check out our Calendar to see if your date is available.
You mentioned different packages. Can you tell me about your base package?
Our base package includes:
- Private rental of the Barn, Grounds, and Grainery from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m.
- Rental of chairs and tables for up to 300 guests for all elements of your day (ceremony, social, reception, dance)
- Set up and tear down of tables and chairs in your desired arrangement.
- Minimal Coordination to make sure the day runs smoothly
- Full Clean Up
Cost begins at $3000. Additional packages would add things like Wedding planning, day-of coordination, florals, decor, uplighting, and so forth. Contact us to get a customized quote that reflects your unique day and needs.
How many people can you hold?
There are many factors involved in answering that question, such as elements of the day to be included, layout and selection of round versus rectangular tables, willingness to add a tent on the expansive lawn, and overall atmosphere of the event. Generally speaking, there is room for:
- 800+ for an outdoor ceremony in the pasture; 325 seated theater style in the barn
- 225 on the main floor for seated reception; 300 in the hayloft for a seated reception
- 350 for a heavy hor'dourvres cocktail meal with limited full seating.
We are happy to talk with potential clients about their needs and formulate an idea of how to make the space work for their group, if possible.
Do you cater? Do you provide alcohol?
No, we do not provide food or beverages, but we do provide a prep space for the caterer you select to utilize. Additionally, we are happy to provide you with a list of caterers who would do a fantastic job for you.
We love your style! Do you ever bring your decor to other venues?
Actually, that's exactly what we've been doing for the last 10+ years and we are happy to keep doing that. Our off-site services run year-round. If your interested in finding out more, please contact us. Worried about distance? Don't be! We've traveled to Duluth, MN, Watertown, SD, and Williston, ND to coordinate and decorate events...we're happy to come to you!
What about parking?
We are blessed with a large yard and have plenty of space for parking. Additionally, we have a golf cart with seating to transport guests as needed, should they have to park on the outer limits of the property.
Where can our guests stay?
The closest housing options are in Ada, MN and Hillsboro, ND, with Fargo-Moorhead and Grand Forks just 40 minutes away. Currently we do not provide shuttling services, but hope to be adding that in the coming years. We are happy to provide you with a reference list of busing and transport companies who can assist your guests in finding their way safely home.
